On Sunday, Kyle Larson plans on pulling off the Indy-Charlotte double and racing fans can wager on all of the action taking place in both the Indianapolis 500 and the Coca-Cola 600.
Larson is a 25-time winner in the NASCAR Cup Series, so his appearance at the Coca-Cola 600 on Sunday evening is expected. But earlier on Sunday, he’ll be making his open-wheel debut in the 2024 Indy 500.
Below, we look at Kyle Larson odds in both events as he makes history by adding his name to the short list of drivers who have pulled Double Duty on Memorial Day weekend.
2024 Indianapolis 500 odds for Kyle Larson
The first race of Larson’s day will be the 108th Indianapolis 500, which starts at 12:45 p.m. ET at Indianapolis Motor Speedway with Larson racing for Arrow McLaren.
Despite racing in over 300 NASCAR Cup Series races, Larson has never raced in an Indy car. But that hasn’t stopped oddsmakers at DraftKings from listing him near the top of the pack:
Larson is currently fourth on the odds board behind Scott McLaughlin, Josef Newgarden, and Will Power, all three of whom will begin in Row 1 while Larson will begin in Row 2. The best Indy 500 finish of drivers who have done “The Double” has been sixth from Robby Gordon (2000), Tony Stewart (2001), and Kurt Busch (2014).
2024 Coca-Cola 600 odds for Kyle Larson: Favored in Charlotte
Whenever Kyle Larson arrives at Charlotte Motor Speedway for the back end of his doubleheader, he may very well still be favored at the top of the odds board for the Coca-Cola 600.
The Coca-Cola 600 is slated to go off at 6 p.m. ET, which means Larson will take a quick flight from Indianapolis to Charlotte between races to be in his No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet in time for race No. 2.
Larson has won one Cup race in 14 career starts at Charlotte Motor Speedway, most recently taking home the checkered flag in 2021 from the pole following the move to Hendrick Motorsports.
In 1999 and 2001, Tony Stewart managed top-5 finishes at Charlotte in the second race of The Double. No driver has ever won, but as the betting favorite, Kyle Larson hopes to change that.
