MISSOULA — The popular TV show “Yellowstone” has returned to film its fifth season in downtown Missoula this week.
The production is quite extensive, with numerous support trucks arriving in town and people from various places around the world. Production crews, who spoke to MTN, mentioned they came from LA, Georgia, the UK, and locals from Butte.
The entire production has been shrouded in secrecy, with many crew members unaware of the locations and schedule of the shoots until shortly before they occurred.
Despite the excitement surrounding the production, some local businesses have not seen an increase in business due to the large number of parked vehicles taking up space in the area and reducing foot traffic.
However, a recent study conducted by UM’s Bureau of Business and Economic Research revealed that the show brought over $730 million in spending to the state in just one year.
“Yellowstone” features stars such as Kevin Costner, Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, and Cole Hauser. There are rumors that Costner may not be returning for the final season.
