Reserved seating available for symphony
Carroll College and the Helena Symphony have announced a limited number tickets available for reserved seating directly in front of the stage for the Intrepid Credit Union Symphony Under the Stars.
The tickets will be available for purchase starting at midnight on June 1 through the Helena Symphony website at helenasymphony.org under “tickets.”
The 20th anniversary of the event is scheduled for Saturday, July 20, at 8:30 p.m. on Guadalupe Hill at the Carroll College Campus.
This year’s concert will feature the music of Tina Turner and general seating is free to the public.

Authors to speak at book event
Co-authors Arnold “Smoke” Elser and Eva-Maria Maggi will be in Helena at 6 p.m. Thursday for an evening of reading and storytelling at The Windsor/Anchor G on 415 N. Last Chance Gulch.
In their book “Hush of the Land,” Elser chronicles his six-decade quest to protect wild lands by bringing thousands of people deep into the mountains of Montana on horseback.
Books will be for sale at the event.
Event at Anchor Park features music, art
Join us for a free, family friendly Dave Rave at Anchor Park downtown from 4-9 p.m. Friday.
Enjoy live DJs, artists, performers, vendors and food trucks in a celebration of community and art.
Expect to see artists showcasing and selling their creations, live music, Southpaw Street Food Truck, face painting, live art, tarot readers, chalk artists, and various vendors.

Marysville Museum and Gallery opens Saturday
The Marysville Museum and Gallery is opening Saturday and will be open every Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. until Oct 1.
The museum is located in the old schoolhouse of the historic ghost town of Marysville.

Summer events at The Myrna Loy
The Myrna Loy has a lineup of events planned for the summer featuring live music, films, and community activities for all ages.
The season begins June 6 with fiddler Bruce Molsky performing songs from the Southern Appalachian songbook at 7:30 p.m.
A weeklong, citywide Juneteenth celebration co-hosted by The Myrna Loy includes stand-up comedian Kevin Bozeman on June 20 at 7:30 p.m.
Other Juneteenth events include a free screening of “Hidden Stories: Montana’s Black Past” on June 21 at 7 p.m., hosted by the Montana Historical Society, and the Academy Award-winning documentary “Summer of Soul” on June 22 at 2:30 p.m., followed by a block party with food trucks, speakers, arts experiences, and a dance party with DJ Andrea Cross Guns.

Continuing the summer season, The Myrna hosts the annual Big Lebowski Brew and View on Aug. 15 and the Almost Famous Brew and View on July 25, both at 8 p.m. Tickets include three drinks, and movie-goers are encouraged to participate in the costume contest.
String and Shadow Puppet Theater from Olympia, Washington, returns to Helena for a free show at Anchor Park on Aug. 1 at 7 p.m.
