Opportunity knocks at the door of the city council when it considers Corner Farms Village, a uniquely progressive and innovative development in the Missoula valley.
Missoula has become an increasingly popular place to live because of its richness in scenic, natural resource, and environmental qualities. We welcome those who come here to share that appreciation but, at the same time, we have concern about the impacts of burgeoning development.
We celebrate the successes of Five Valleys Land Trust and others who have ensured the permanent preservation of publicly accessible open space. Similarly, Corner Farms offers a model for future development that can permanently preserve some of these values, including open space and productive local agriculture. It also offers housing that is not only affordable but is also sustainable, constructed to fully enable residential solar generation.
