CUSTER — Cole Noble didn’t showcase his full potential with Centerville’s football team until late last season, but coach Brian Davison always believed he had a valuable player in Noble.
Davison, having been a star quarterback for Highwood himself, knew the caliber of players the school could produce. Noble’s breakout performance in the late season helped Centerville win its first 6-Man state championship, validating Davison’s belief in him.
Noble’s achievement led to an all-state nomination and a spot in the Montana 6-Man All-Star Football Game. Despite not making the all-conference team earlier, Noble’s playoff performance stood out.
