The fundraising platform used by former President Donald Trump’s campaign crashed within an hour after his conviction — a technical issue his camp says shows voters’ unwavering support for the Republican presidential front-runner despite his guilty verdict.
Those attempting to donate through Trump’s campaign site following the conviction were redirected to WinRed, the payment processing platform used by Trump and other conservative campaigns. While the homepage appeared functional, attempting to donate to Trump’s campaign temporarily resulted in an error message.
“So many Americans were moved to donate to President Trump’s campaign that the WinRed pages went down,” the Trump campaign stated. “We are working on restoring the website as soon as possible.”
Trump’s campaign adviser, Chris LaCivita, advised donors encountering the error message to subscribe to the former president’s text messaging list while the issue was being addressed.
If you are one of the millions of American Patriots wanting to donate to Donald Trump’s campaign and you get an error message from @WINRED …don’t give up! Log back on and try again! or Text TRUMP to 88022 Help us send weak @JoeBiden packing !!!

WinRed’s Trump site appeared to be functioning again later in the evening on Thursday.
The webpage features Trump’s mugshot from the day he surrendered in his Georgia criminal case alongside the words “never surrender.” The former president also refers to himself as a “political prisoner” and requests supporters’ “immediate pushback” to be “so massive it will go down in history!”
“Before the day is over, I’m calling on TEN MILLION pro-Trump patriots to chip in and say: I STAND WITH PRESIDENT TRUMP!” the website states, noting the end-of-month fundraising deadline is approaching.
However, Trump wasn’t the only one seeking donations following the conviction. The presumptive Democratic nominee, President Joe Biden, also appealed for donations, stating in a post on X, “There’s only one way to keep Donald Trump out of the Oval Office: At the ballot box. Donate to our campaign today.”
