Former President Donald Trump is scheduled to speak to the public following his conviction on all 34 charges in his hush money case.
Trump will hold a press conference at 11 a.m. ET on Friday.
This felony conviction marks the first time a U.S. president has been found guilty of a crime.
Sentencing is scheduled for July 11, and Trump could potentially face a range of penalties from probation to up to four years in prison. The case may involve years of appeals that could ultimately reach the U.S. Supreme Court.
In response to his guilty verdict, the former president claimed that the trial was biased and unfair.
Trump maintained his innocence, expressing confidence in his supporters’ loyalty on Election Day.
Having survived two impeachments, previous legal judgments, and civil penalties, Trump’s resilience will be tested once again after this significant court defeat.
All eyes will be on Trump’s response on Friday morning.

Former President Donald Trump guilty on all counts in criminal hush money trial

The former president remained impassive in a New York City courtroom as the verdict was announced around 5 p.m. local time on Thursday.
The jury, consisting of 12 New Yorkers in predominantly liberal Manhattan, reached a decision on the second day of deliberations, which lasted just over nine hours.
Throughout the trial, the jury requested a reiteration of instructions and re-listened to testimony from key witnesses such as David Pecker and Michael Cohen. Prosecutors relied on the testimony of 20 witnesses to assert that Trump had falsified records to cover up damaging stories, including an alleged affair with Stormy Daniels, before the 2016 election.
Despite the conviction, Trump’s supporters are rallying behind him, with the former president using the verdict to raise funds for his cause.
The political fallout is still unfolding, but the trial is expected to have far-reaching consequences on the presidential race and the future of the nation. The upcoming November election is anticipated to be closely contested.
