The planned boxing match featuring Jake Paul and Mike Tyson has been delayed due to Tyson’s recent ulcer complications.
During a flight from Miami to Los Angeles over the weekend, Tyson faced a medical emergency that left him feeling unwell and disoriented. By Tuesday, he had recovered and was in stable condition, affirming on social media, “Now feeling 100% even though I don’t need to be to beat Jake Paul.”

The anticipated match between the 57-year-old boxing legend and 27-year-old Jake Paul was set for July 20 at the Dallas Cowboys AT&T Stadium for a live-streamed event on Netflix. However, Tyson’s ulcer flare-up has disrupted their plans.
Netflix stated that the match had been postponed due to Tyson’s health setback, which limited his training capacity for the upcoming weeks, giving him less preparation time compared to his younger opponent. The organizers promised to announce a new date for the heavyweight event by June 7.
Unfortunately Jake Paul and Mike Tyson will not face-off on July 20 as planned. Tyson’s recent ulcer flare-up has limited his ability to train fully for the next few weeks.

Tyson assured Netflix, “My body is in better overall shape than it has been since the 1990s, and I will soon return to my full training regimen.” He added, “Jake Paul, this might have given you some extra time, but in the end, you will still face defeat and exit boxing for good.”
Paul responded by stating, “I fully support the postponement so that Mike Tyson has no excuses on fight night.” He emphasized, “When he steps into the ring with me, I will be prepared to secure my victory with a spectacular finish.”
Attendees who bought tickets for the original match will be honored for the rescheduled event. Refunds are available for those unable to attend the new schedule by contacting SeatGeek at dallascowboys@seatgeek.com with the subject line “Paul vs. Tyson.”
Dubbed the Baddest Man on the Planet, Tyson boasts a boxing career with 50 wins (44 knockouts) to six losses. He holds the title of ESPN’s hardest-hitting heavyweight and was the youngest to win a heavyweight championship. His last victory was in 2003 before retiring in 2005.
Meanwhile, Paul, who has been in the boxing world for nearly six years, made his professional debut four years ago. He currently has a record of nine wins (six knockouts) to one loss, which he suffered in his first bout against an active professional, Tommy Fury, in 2021. Additionally, Paul established Most Valuable Promotions with his advisor Nakisa Bidarian that same year.
