As an inventor and engineer with over 100 patents, Johnson has dedicated his career to bringing his ideas to life. One of his most notable creations, the Super Soaker water gun, was born out of his dedication to a pump idea he researched after hours while working as an aerospace engineer at NASA. The environmentally friendly nature of the product, which uses water, was a key aspect of his vision.
After a decade of hard work, Johnson’s idea materialized into one of the most successful toys in recent history. The Super Soaker was eventually recognized as the bestselling water toy of all time and was inducted into the American National Toy Hall of Fame.
