Media mogul Rupert Murdoch, aged 93, has tied the knot for the fifth time, according to reports from newspapers owned by his company, News Corp, on Sunday.
Murdoch and Elena Zhukova, a 67-year-old retired molecular biologist originally from Russia, exchanged vows on Saturday at his vineyard estate in Bel Air, California. Pictures of the newlywed couple were shared by News Corp publications like the New York Post and Fox News. The couple had announced their engagement back in March.
Previously, Murdoch was married to model and actress Jerry Hall. Their marriage took place in 2016 and ended in divorce in 2022.
Zhukova was previously married to Alexander Zhukov, a billionaire energy investor and Russian politician. Their daughter, Dasha, was previously married to Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich, who once owned the Premier League soccer club Chelsea.
Last autumn, Murdoch stepped down from his roles as the head of both Fox News’ parent company and his media holdings at News Corp. His son, Lachlan, took over in a media empire that extends across continents and has had a significant impact on modern American politics.
