Today is the primary election in Montana, happening on Tuesday, June 4. This is an important step in the political process where voters choose party nominees for the November general election. Primary winners in districts with strong party affiliations are likely to have an advantage in the upcoming election.
Our coverage of Primary Election Day will include live updates on results as they are reported by county election offices after polls close at 8 p.m. We will have an interactive dashboard on our homepage with live results from the Associated Press for readers to follow throughout the evening.
In close races, final results may not be available until late Tuesday night, Wednesday, or even later if a recount is needed.
We will continue to cover election results throughout the week via our website, email newsletters, and social media. Our newsroom staff will also host a live online event on Wednesday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. to discuss Tuesday night’s results (sign up here).
