The Jack Nicklaus-founded Memorial Tournament gets underway on Thursday, June 6, and golf’s best will be teeing up for the seventh Signature Event of the 2024 season.

Scottie Scheffler odds are the shortest of the field as usual (+360), and reigning champion Viktor Hovland is fifth from the top at +1800. Here’s a look at our favorite Memorial Tournament props and picks for Muirfield Village in Dublin, Ohio:

The #freescottie movement got its wish, and the world No. 1 comes into the Memorial without a court case hanging over his head after all charges were dropped from the debacle at the PGA Championship in Louisville.

There’s no need to dive too deep into Scottie’s stat sheet, because we already know that he’s the best at nearly everything. While his top-5 odds aren’t quite even money, they’re close enough at -110.

The only time he hasn’t finished in the top-5 in the last seven tournaments was at the PGA Championship (T8), when he may have had something else on his mind. That stretch includes four wins and two second-place finishes. This bet has been as close to a lock as there is over the last three months.

After a sluggish start to the season, Rory McIlroy has gotten his game together recently. The four-time major champion has racked up two wins, a T4 and a T12 in his last four outings.

Rory had a strong showing at the Memorial last year when he entered the final round tied for the lead but ended up finishing T7. He’s also finished no worse than T18 the last three times he’s played at Muirfield.

His competition in this group includes Tommy Fleetwood, Matt Fitzpatrick, Shane Lowry, Justin Rose, and Seamus Power.

Denny McCarthy came within a playoff hole of winning his first PGA tournament last year at the Memorial. The heartbreak continued this season when the 31-year-old again lost in a playoff at the Valero Texas Open in April. This guy deserves a break. But instead of picking a win this week, we like Denny’s chances of coming out on top in a 3-ball matchup prop.

As mentioned, he finished runner-up last year here, but he also had a T5 the year before. His opponents will be Matt Fitzpatrick, who has missed almost a third of his cuts this year, and Alex Noran, the 41-year-old Swede, who missed the cut last week at the RBC Canadian Open and finished T52 at Muirfield Village last year.

Last year’s champion, Viktor Hovland, comes into the tourney with the fifth shortest odds to win, but if you’re looking for a real long shot, you can take him to win the first round at +2500.

The current FedExCup champ hasn’t had his A-game this season but showed promise at the PGA Championship a couple of weeks ago with a third-place finish. We like him to have a shot at taking that momentum into a tournament that he won a year ago.
