The Helena Regional Sports Association will be hosting a discussion about the ARC Sporting and Events Complex from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on June 12 at the exhibit hall of the Lewis and Clark County Fairgrounds, located at 98 W. Custer Ave.
The focus of the discussion will be on how this new facility will benefit the local economy, provide indoor sports and entertainment options, include indoor swimming pools for health and wellness benefits, and contribute to making the community a better place to live.
The proposed complex by the Helena Regional Sports Association includes a 150,000-square-foot facility with a 79,000-square-foot indoor arena, a natatorium with sport and therapy pools, a 12,500-seat arena, two turf fields, a fieldhouse, team rooms, an administration area, and support spaces.
A recent feasibility study conducted for the association projects that the complex could bring in over $26 million and 97,000 overnight visitors annually, support 330 jobs, and generate $12.9 million in income each year.
It’s important to note that the plans for the complex are currently in the preliminary stages.
