MONTANA – Global Run Day participants celebrate the sport every year on the first Wednesday of June. See below for a list of races happening throughout Montana on this special day.
Billings area races
Montana Firefighters Memorial Run in Laurel on June 7: an annual race to honor fallen firefighters. Choose between a 5K and a one-mile race.
The Rim Runner Mile on June 12: part of the Free 3 series, a fun run for the whole family.
The Heart and Sole Run on June 15: a fundraiser for the YMCA offering two-mile, 10K and 5K options for children and adults.
The Big Sky State Games Run Paddle Run on June 23: a race with 5K and multi-sport options available.
Bozeman area races
The Yellowstone Half Marathon on June 7-8: a weekend event with 5K and half-marathon races.
The Old Gabe 30K and 50K on June 15: races on the scenic Middle Cottonwood trail.
The Cross Cut 20K on June 22: a race starting at the Jim Bridger Lodge with a barbecue finish line.
Butte races
The Divide Trail Race on June 15 weekend: offering 50K or 25K race options on the Continental Divide Trail.
The Wulfman’s Continental Divide Trail 14K on June 22: a race supporting trail improvements in the Homestake area.
Great Falls and Helena races
The Dandelion Foundation Fun Run on June 8: supporting the cause to end child abuse and family violence with one-mile and 5K options.
The Governor’s Cup on June 8: a race with options from a one-mile fun run to a full marathon.
Kalispell races
The Herron Half Marathon on June 9: a race to maintain trails with kids’ race, 5K, 10K and half-marathon options.
The Bigfork Rotary RunFUNded races on June 22: offering a 5K and 10K with proceeds supporting Big Fork High School sports.
Missoula races
The Mountain to Meadow Half Marathon on June 8: a race with a 10K option through the Bitterroot Mountains.
The Bob Marshall Trail 50K on June 29-30: a race with 10K and half-marathon options on ski runs outside the Bob Marshall Wilderness.
The Missoula Marathon on June 29-30: named the Best Marathon in the U.S, this race is held by Run Wild Missoula.
