BILLINGS — The Billings Outlaws will be playing for a pair of teammates this weekend.
When the Outlaws (5-0) host the Nashville Kats (2-4) at 6 p.m. Saturday at First Interstate Arena at MetraPark, they’ll be aiming to win for John Whiteside (DL/OL) and Omar Hemphill-Toledo (DB).
Both of the players were lost for the Arena Football League season due to knee injuries sustained in the Outlaws’ 54-35 victory over the Salina Liberty at the Metra on May 18 Billings coach Cedric Walker told The Billings Gazette and 406 MT Sports on Thursday.
“They busted their butts,” said Walker. “For them to be lost for the season, we’ll continue the journey. They are still warriors and Outlaws. We want to make sure to continue to get better for what they did for us up to this point.”
