BILLINGS — Saturday will present some unique opportunities for Silas Hahn.
The Red Lodge senior will be playing in the 35th Annual Big Sky Class B All-Star Football Game, along with five other Rams on the South’s roster, in his hometown at Palisades Field at Red Lodge High School at 1 p.m.
“I’m ecstatic,” Hahn said Thursday during a lunch break after practice at Rocky Mountain College, where the North and South players and coaches spend the week preparing for the game. “I was excited as soon as I found out we’d have one more home game. It’s a pretty cool opportunity to play at home again and not just with yourself, but the best players in the state. So it will be fun.”

The South’s head coach is Red Lodge AD Adam White, who for the past six years was the Rams’ defensive coordinator and spent eight years total as an assistant at Red Lodge. White has stepped down from coaching football but will remain as AD. Also on the South coaching staff is assistant Dana Quenzer of Red Lodge, who also serves as the school’s principal.
So when Hahn looks around the field, he’ll be thankful and proud to have so many Rams representing the school in the showcase game held in Red Lodge for the first time since 2004.
