POST FALLS, Idaho — Jaiden Turner drove in three runs and the Billings Royals walloped the Spokane (Washington) Bandits AAA 13-1 in five innings at an American Legion baseball tournament here on Thursday.
The Royals scored seven runs in the fifth inning.
Turner was 2 for 4 at the plate, including a double, and scored a run. Chaise Tracy scored twice and drove in two for the Royals and Ethan Chaney was 2 for 3 with a run and two RBIs.
Chaney, Alex Brown and Nick Martin doubled for the Royals (11-11).
Sy Waldron threw the final two innings and allowed only one hit and fanned five. Carson Jenkins started the game and threw the first three frames, allowing only one earned run and zero walks while fanning two.
The Royals had six hits and one error. Spokane had four hits and four errors.
