WASHINGTON D.C. – There is a new assignment for one member of Montana’s congressional delegation.
Republican Ryan Zinke, who previously served as the Interior Secretary under former president Donald Trump, has now been appointed to the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs.
This change means Congressman Zinke will no longer be a part of the Science and Technology Committee. However, he will continue to serve on the Appropriations Committee and its subcommittees on interior and the EPA.
After securing the Republican nomination for MT US House District 01 in the June 4 primaries, Zinke will now face Democrat nominee Monica Tranel in the November general election.
