The cast members of One Tree Hill have appeared in numerous Hallmark movies over the years, and Bethany Joy Lenz has some ideas for more crossovers. One idea that will especially excite Nathan and Haley fans.
“I think a movie with James and I would be a big hit, but we would have to choose the right one because it’s a big deal,” Lenz shared with TV Insider while promoting her latest Hallmark movie, Savoring Paris.
She added, “It would have to be a really great one. He’s doing so well. He has his show, Everyone Is Doing Great, and it’s fantastic. He’s doing so well that I think it would be fun after all these years to work together again. We’ll see.”
Lenz and Lafferty were co-stars on One Tree Hill for nearly a decade. The relationship between Haley and Nathan was a highlight of the series. Fans have been rooting for Naley from the beginning and would love to see them share the screen again.
Another idea Lenz has for a future Hallmark movie involves reuniting with Shantel VanSanten, who portrayed Haley’s younger sister, Quinn James.
“She and I always had a great time and I miss her,” Lenz shared. “I miss working with her, especially after reconnecting with the other girls [Hilarie Burton Morgan and Sophia Bush] on Drama Queens. It would be wonderful to reunite with Shantel for a girls’ trip.”
The Dinner for Vampires author is currently hosting a rewatch podcast, Drama Queens, with Bush and Morgan. The One Tree Hill trio is revisiting the series, discussing each episode, and sharing their experiences. New episodes are released weekly.
