BOZEMAN — Georgia Southern has hired Taylor Housewright, former offensive coordinator at Montana State, as a senior offensive analyst.
FootballScoop first reported the news last month. While Georgia Southern has not officially announced the hiring, Housewright has been included in the list of football coaches on the Eagles’ website.
Housewright was set to become the offensive coordinator at Akron in January, but he did not join the Zips officially as he stepped back from coaching. Montana State replaced him with tight ends coach Tyler Walker.

Housewright led successful offenses as the OC/quarterbacks coach for the Bobcats from 2021-23. He was suspended for the first game of the last season after being charged with and found guilty of driving under the influence.
Georgia Southern competes in the Sun Belt Conference of the Football Bowl Subdivision, one level above the Football Championship Subdivision where Montana State plays.
