The United Veterans of Twin Bridges’ 26th annual Kids’ Fishing Derby, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Lori’s Pond, 1.5 miles from Twin Bridges on Highway 41. Kids 14 and below are eligible to participate. Every kid’s first fish will receive a prize. At noon a barbecue will be served by the veterans and their families and drinks will be supplied throughout the day. The Whitehall Chamber of Commerce and Gold Junction present the annual Black Tie & Blue Jeans, 6 p.m., Whitehall Community Center. Event will feature silent and live auctions, music by local musicians, live art and heavy hors d’oeuvres. As the Chamber’s major fundraiser, Black Tie Blue Jeans serves as the primary vehicle to raise money for local non-profits as well as to fund local events and projects.
