The Department of Justice announced the arrest of a Texas man for allegedly making threats against a federal agent who had investigated Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden.
Timothy Muller was taken into custody on Thursday and charged with interstate threatening communications and influencing, impeding, or retaliating against a federal official. The arrest was made without any complications, according to the DOJ.
Officials revealed that Muller had placed a call to the agent in question shortly after Hunter Biden was convicted of multiple gun-related felonies on Tuesday.
“You can run, but you can’t hide,” Muller reportedly stated, accusing the agent of covering up illegal activities. He then went on to threaten violence and harm against the agent and their family.
The threats were made on the same day that Attorney General Merrick Garland published an op-ed in The Washington Post condemning attacks against the DOJ as baseless, personal, and dangerous.
