Another thrilling game unfolded when the Indiana Fever clashed with the Chicago Sky on Sunday, resulting in a 91-83 triumph for Indiana.
Fans flocked to the Gainbridge Fieldhouse to witness the highly anticipated showdown between former college standouts Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark, intensifying the burgeoning regional rivalry.
The tension escalated when Clark made contact with Dana Evans’ arm in the first half, prompting Reese to elbow Clark’s head in the third quarter. Following a review, the call was elevated to a flagrant-1.
The crowd erupted each time Carter and Reese drew fouls. Reese almost lost her cool after her fifth foul, receiving a delay of game warning for throwing the ball back and continuing to argue with the referees.
Clark ended with 22 points, nine assists, and eight rebounds, while Reese contributed 11 points, 13 rebounds, and five assists.

Aliyah Boston secured her third consecutive double-double with 19 points and 14 rebounds as the Fever (5-10) clinched back-to-back victories for the first time this season. Kelsey Mitchell added 17 points, and NaLyssa Smith contributed 15 as Indiana surged to a 2-0 lead in the season series.
Marina Mabrey led the Sky (4-9) with 22 points, while Chennedy Carter tallied 18 points and four assists, rebounding from criticism for a previous hard shoulder check on Clark. Indiana claimed a 47-43 lead with a 12-6 run to close the first half. Then, Marina Mabrey’s eight points in the beginning of the second half gave the Sky a 55-51 advantage.
The Fever fought back, taking a 58-57 lead on Clark’s 3-pointer in the third quarter and maintaining control till the end. They widened the gap to 68-64 before Chicago scored the final basket of the quarter.
Indiana secured the win with a series of plays, including Clark’s second 3-pointer, Boston’s short jumper, Smith’s layup, and two free throws from Clark in the last 3:06.
