Evening conditions are expected to be mostly dry, with temperatures cooling into the 50’s and 60’s by 9 pm.

Overnight, the skies will remain mostly dry, carrying over into Father’s Day with clear to partly-cloudy weather. This brings a pleasant change after the rain today, although a cooling trend and breezy conditions are expected before the official start of the Summer season.

Snow showers are forecasted to develop in western Montana early Monday morning, transitioning into rain showers by late morning and spreading into central and eastern areas.

Snow accumulations of 4″ – 8″ are possible at elevations over 6000′, with passes potentially seeing up to 5″ of snow. The snow is expected to be heavy and wet, possibly causing slippery conditions on pass roadways.

Gusty winds overnight will affect northern regions, with gusts up to 45 mph in the Cut Bank area and 35 mph in Jordan. Gusty winds are expected in the northeastern plains for tomorrow afternoon.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for most of Montana’s eastern plains as thunderstorms move through this evening. The watch is set to expire at 9 pm tonight.

Tonight’s lows range from 32 degrees in Butte to 51 in Miles City, with forecasted daytime highs for tomorrow varying from the 60’s in the west to the mid-70’s in eastern Montana.
