1. Should Caitlin Clark have been named to the U.S. Olympic women’s basketball team?
John Letasky: Yes. I can’t believe that she wasn’t.
Jake Iverson: No. She’s not one of the 12 best players right now. Give her four more years.
Daniel Shepard: I think she needs to focus on being more consistent at the WNBA level before people freak out that she’s missing Olympic teams.
Victor Flores: I almost answered yes. Then I looked at the 12 players who were selected and compared their numbers to Clark’s. Her fame is the only reason this has been a discussion.
Gavin Derkatch: Probably, but I don’t think people should be so torn up about it. She’ll get the chance.
2. What is your favorite Montana summer high school all-star game?

John Letasky: This year it was the Class B football game. The beauty of Red Lodge was cool, but I also like the game in Billings. But, next year let’s not have the Midland Roundtable contests and Shrine Game on the same night.
Jake Iverson: The 6-Man all-star game is so fun, especially when it’s bringing people to little places like Custer.
Daniel Shepard: Doesn’t get any better than slapping mosquitoes, dodging rain and searching for a cell signal at the 6-Man game in Highwood. Good people, great players, huge bugs.
Victor Flores: I haven’t been to all of them, and it’s been a while since I attended one, but I enjoyed covering the Shrine Game.
Gavin Derkatch: Seeing the best players regardless of classification at the Montana East-West Shrine Game is great. Plus, it’s an incredible cause.
3. The 45th anniversary Heart and Sole Run was Saturday in Billings. Have you ever participated in a road race?
John Letasky: No, I haven’t but if I were to participate in one it would be the Heart and Sole. However, this weekend was all-star weekend!
Jake Iverson: I barely like driving that long.
Daniel Shepard: I laughed out loud reading the question. I haven’t ran since I had knee surgery in high school.
Victor Flores: I ran the Purple 5K and the Run Turkey Run when I lived in Billings. Both were fun, although I liked the former (in late April) more than the latter (on Thanksgiving) solely because of the weather.
Gavin Derkatch: I haven’t participated in a race of any kind in many years, but I’d like to get into running more.
4. Jerry West has died. Can you think of a neater sports honor than to have your silhouette as a league logo?
John Letasky: For a professional sports player, that is pretty cool and I don’t know if you can top it other than to possibly achieve folk legend status such as Babe Ruth.
Jake Iverson: To have a rule changed because of how good you were. Like “Tiger-proofing” golf courses, MLB lowering the mound for Bob Gibson or George Mikan forcing the NBA to widen the lane.
Daniel Shepard: It’s a great legacy to leave. I just hope the NBA never changes the logo.
Victor Flores: Not sure I can top Jake’s answer. Getting a statue or your number retired would feel incredibly fulfilling too.
Gavin Derkatch: It’s a great honor, and ‘The Logo’ is one of the cooler nicknames in all of sports in my opinion.
5. What is a fair or amusement park ride you could never get enough of as a kid?
John Letasky: That’s a tough question. I do remember liking the bumper boats when I was younger, but as far as a young child I can’t remember. As a teen, I liked the Sea Dragon.
Jake Iverson: As a rule I try to never get on something that can be quickly dissembled with hand tools and easily hauled away.
Daniel Shepard: Not necessarily a specific ride, but my family went to Dollywood (Tennessee) almost every summer when I was growing up. I don’t like rollercoasters, so I stuck to the rides that never left the ground.
Victor Flores: I could’ve spent my entire time in Disneyland riding Splash Mountain and left completely satisfied.
Gavin Derkatch: I was a fan of the big pirate ship that swings back and forth. Talk about getting some air.
