MISSOULA — Katie Lewis of Frenchtown and Tye Boone of Billings took top honors in the 16-18 division at the Montana State Junior Championships Wednesday at Polson Bay Golf Course.
Lewis, a two-time State A champion with one year of high school remaining, carded a 54-hole score of 80-74-78-232 (+16) in the three-day girls event. Isabella Johnson of Billings finished second at 79-80-77-236 (+20).
Boone, who earned State AA medalist honors this past fall as a senior at Skyview, won the boys event with a score of 71-72-70-213 (-3). Corvallis standout Brady Powell took second at 72-75-68-215 (-1).
Cameron Burnett of Hamilton won the girls 14-15 division with a score of 90-91-85-266 (+50). Anna Lende of Livingston took second at 89-90-101-280 (+64).
Maxwell Milton of Polson won the boys 14-15 division, carding 72-70-74-216 (even). Jack Schaefer of Missoula and John Gilbert of Helena shared second with identical totals of 220 (+4).
