BILLINGS, Mont. –On Friday, Governor Greg Gianforte, and other City of Billings and Yellowstone County leaders toured the new Coca-Cola manufacturing facility in Billings ahead of its grand opening day.
Since 1956 Coca Cola High Country has been serving coke products to the people in the Treasure State, and with the new facility in Billings, they plan to continue to refresh communities and support growth in the local economy.
Company President and CEO, Trevor Messinger said the100-million-dollar facility that stands at the corner of Harnish boulevard is the largest capital investment for Coca Cola High Country company.
Messinger added, that it’s a game changer for the company, not only will it bring in 50 new jobs to their operations – but they can also make the product, sell it, and send it out… all in one place.
“What that does for us in terms of giving us the ability to get the product to market quicker, produce the product that we want to have for this market and the state of Montana it changes things significantly for us instead of relying on others,” said Trevor
He says they faced some obstacles in getting the plant established, but they were able to get everything accomplished because of the continued commitment between the city of Billings and Coke-Cola High Country Bottling company.
“We want to be part of the community and we want to participate in the community. Our teams live and work here, our people rely on this community and we want to give back to it, we want to be part of it, and we want to be involved in it, and we will make all efforts to make sure that happens,” said Messinger.
Governor Greg Gianforte said this is a step in the right direction for Montana’s local economy
“Montana is open for business, and this is one more victory for our state as we improve our economy and create better opportunities for Montanans.”
