Montana – Today saw above normal temperatures and plenty of sunshine throughout the state. Severe thunderstorm conditions subsided in the east overnight, with some lingering showers in Glendive this afternoon.

Dry weather is expected to continue through the evening and into the weekend. Wind gusts were minimal today, with the strongest breezes in Kalispell and Livingston reaching around 30 mph.Â

Our futurecast satellite radar indicates a dry weekend and start to the week, although there is a slight chance of showers in the eastern plains tomorrow evening. Gusty winds up to 40 mph are anticipated to arrive tomorrow night and continue into Monday morning.

The windiest areas include Great Falls, Havre, Jordan, and Miles City. Tonight’s lows are projected to be warmer than last night, with most areas dropping into the upper 50’s and low 60’s. Today’s highs were approximately 10 degrees above average, and even hotter conditions are expected tomorrow.

Many areas are forecasted to experience temperatures over 90 degrees, with Billings expected to see the most extreme heat, potentially reaching 99 degrees. Remember to keep outdoor pets hydrated and shaded!
