Wilmer Valderrama, from NCIS, shared his thoughts on how he would want his character to die if he had to. Speaking at a Monte-Carlo Television Festival panel, the actor suggested a heroic death for NCIS Special Agent Nick Torres, much like Denzel Washington’s character in Training Day.
Valderrama envisioned his character dying while defending his family in a storm of bullets, with violins playing in the background and rain pouring down. He described it as a heroic and dramatic exit for Torres.
While discussing ideas for character deaths, Valderrama’s co-star Brien Dietzen suggested a death scene with white doves. Valderrama, however, thought it sounded too much like something Nicolas Cage would do.
Dietzen, on the other hand, proposed a more poignant death for his character, Dr. Jimmy Palmer, involving amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). He believed it would be a tragic and powerful way for the character to exit the show.
At a previous event, Dietzen had participated in the Ice Bucket Challenge to raise awareness and funds for ALS. He imagined the disease affecting his character on the show, showing his decline over time and the emotional impact it would have.
