Olivia Lewis was named the Gatorade Montana Girls Track and Field Player of the Year from Corvallis High School on Tuesday.
The sports drink company revealed the recognition in a press release on Tuesday morning.
This award acknowledges excellence in sports, academics, and community involvement for high school girls track & field athletes, as stated in the press release.
Lewis, a 5-foot-7 senior sprinter/hurdler, achieved one state record and secured three gold medals at the state meet, leading the Blue Devils to the Class A team state championship. Lewis set a new state standard by finishing the 300-meter hurdles in 41.86 seconds – a time that ranked No. 19 nationally at the time of her selection. She also claimed gold in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.49 and in the 400 with a time of 55.52.

Lewis has volunteered with the Special Olympics and participated in events like the Colors For Cancer 5K, as mentioned in the Gatorade press release. She has also been involved in highway cleanups and food drives for the less fortunate.
“Despite restrictions on the number of events an athlete can participate in, Olivia Lewis navigated through Montana rules to compete in seven events at the state meet,” said Rich Gonzalez, editor of PrepCalTrack.com in the Gatorade release. “By winning three gold medals and qualifying for the finals in all seven events, she contributed to 39 out of her school’s 92.5 points and led Corvallis to the team championship. Lewis demonstrated versatility and endurance.”
Lewis maintains a 3.84 GPA and has committed to competing on scholarship at Montana State University in the upcoming fall.
Lewis joins past Gatorade Montana Girls Track & Field Players of the Year such as Alysa Keller (2022-23, Billings West), Kensey May (2021-22, Missoula Hellgate), Klaire Kovatch (2020-21, Seeley-Swan), and Angellica Street (2019-20, Columbia Falls) in the list of former award winners in the state.
