Tesla has issued a recall for its Cybertruck to address issues with its trim pieces and windshield wipers, making it the fourth recall for the pickup since its launch late last year.
According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on Tuesday, over 22,000 trucks in the U.S. are affected by the new recalls.
The recall covers Cybertrucks produced between Nov. 13, 2023, and June 6, 2024, which may encounter problems with the front windshield wiper motor due to electrical overstress on the gate driver component, as stated by the company.

The issue was initially reported by Tesla Service personnel in February.
Additionally, the trim pieces in the trunk bed of Cybertrucks manufactured between Nov. 13, 2023, and May 26, 2024, may not have been correctly installed and could detach, according to NHTSA documents.
Tesla has assured that it will replace the wiper motor and trim pieces on affected vehicles at no charge. Owners will receive notification letters on Aug. 18.
Past recalls for the Cybertruck included a defective accelerator pedal on around 4,000 vehicles and an error with the warning light instrument panel font size on most trucks sold in the U.S., heightening the risk of accidents.
