Billings Central alum Brock Blatter has found his third college baseball program in as many seasons, confirming to The Billings Gazette and 406 MT Sports that he has transferred to Washington State.
Blatter, a 6-foot-6 right-handed pitcher who was a 19th-round selection of the Chicago Cubs in the 2022 MLB Draft, will be transferring to the Cougars from USC, where he pitched nine innings in relief with a 3.00 ERA and 15 strikeouts this past season. He originally committed out of high school to Alabama, where he pitched eight innings with the Crimson Tide with a 4.50 ERA in 2023.
Across his two college seasons, Blatter holds a 1-0 record with a 3.71 ERA and 27 strikeouts with 20 walks in 17 innings pitched.
Blatter will join fellow Central alum and current Billings Scarlet Kyler Northrop at Washington State in the fall. Northrop committed to WSU in October 2022 as a junior at Central.
