Former President Donald Trump’s campaign paid close attention to the rules set for Thursday’s debate on CNN, especially in regards to the muting of microphones and other rules imposed by moderators. They presented unique strategies to minimize interruptions.
Danielle Alvarez, a senior adviser to former President Trump, stated, “Our campaign hopes that the debate will be one-on-one as the moderators can heavily influence the proceedings. We prefer a fair playing field, not a biased three-on-one debate.”
Alvarez added, “President Trump is prepared to be firm when necessary and ensure that Joe Biden is held accountable for his shortcomings.”

Both campaigns presented their visions and solutions for America’s future on debate night, which some may view as political spin. Trump’s campaign mentioned that the former president appeared relaxed before taking the stage.
When asked for advice for the candidates, House members mostly endorsed their respective party’s candidate. They were expected to support their party’s representative as the potential winner of the debate.
Senator Cynthia Lummis, a Wyoming Republican, suggested that Trump “Focus on the future, discuss solutions. President Trump has answers to the country’s challenges like illegal immigration and inflation. By concentrating on the issues and his proposed solutions, he can emerge as the clear victor.”
