Dru (Lovell Adams-Gray) and Diana Tejada (LaToya Tonodeo) were instrumental in creating a new level of drama in Season 4 of Power Book II: Ghost. Fed up with being controlled by Monet Tejada (Mary J. Blige), the duo recruit Tariq St. Patrick (Michael Rainey Jr.) to eliminate their mother. However, before Tariq can carry out the plan, Tasha, Tariq’s mother, intervenes, injuring Monet and sparking a manhunt for the siblings. Through bullets, video calls, and blackmail, Tariq manages to persuade Noma to call off the kill order, leaving the duo in a state of distress. As Diana grapples with her pregnancy and Dru seeks revenge, the siblings find themselves on separate paths.
“There’s a lot of unresolved issues that have surfaced, and we haven’t had the chance to delve deeply into the root of the problem,” says Latoya Tonodeo.
The pain and anger stemming from Monet’s murder of their father Lorenzo, coupled with their desire to break free from her control, prompt them to seek her demise. However, Diana’s pregnancy may alter their plans. Tonodeo hopes that this pregnancy could serve as a catalyst for the family to reconcile, although forgiveness for past grievances may prove challenging.
