In Billings, Montana, State Republican lawmakers gathered for the annual Montana Republican Party Platform convention this Friday.
The event lasted for three days at the Billings Hotel and Convention Center, ending on June 29.
Organizers met to focus on their platform and update it to align with the specific policies and principles of the Montana Republican Party.
The official platform is divided into 15 planks that address specific principles governing the Montana GOP, including agriculture, American Indian Affairs, crime, education, and immigration.
You can view the current platform on the party’s website at mtgop.org. A new platform is finalized at every other MT GOP convention and remains in effect for the subsequent 2 years.
Among those present were Governor Gianforte and Senate candidate Tim Sheehy.
The State Republican Party convenes a convention annually, with platform revisions occurring in even years. In odd years, the focus is on electing delegate officers.
