The Missoula PaddleHeads saw their seven-game win streak come to an end Saturday night with a 14-12 loss to the Glacier Range Riders at Ogren-Allegiance Park.
Zootown’s pro baseball team saw its lead in the Pioneer League whittled to six games. The PaddleHeads sit at 27-8 and the second-place Range Riders and Northern Colorado Owlz have identical records of 21-14.
The score was knotted at 12-12 after six innings before Glacier came up with two runs in the seventh off reliever Noah McBride. He took the loss despite striking out five in his two innings of duty.
Missoula landed two runners aboard in the seventh before Glacier reliever Montana Quigley settled down, striking out a pair to get out of the jam. The PaddleHeads threatened with three reaching in the eighth but again came up empty, with two runners picked off base.

Both teams collected 15 hits. Missoula stranded 13 baserunners and Glacier stranded seven.
Alec Sanchez led the hosts, going 5 for 6 with two doubles and two RBIs. Teammate Mike Rosario was 4 for 5 with three RBIs.
The PaddleHeads will host the Range Riders again on Sunday afternoon.
