Former Dancing with the Stars professional Cheryl Burke speculates that Vanderpump Rules star Tom Sandoval could be one of the celebrity contestants on Season 33. Burke shared her thoughts on casting rumors during her podcast Sex, Lies, and Spray Tans, mentioning that she wouldn’t be surprised to see Sandoval in the ballroom.
However, Cheryl’s guest, Kristyn Burtt, disagreed, stating, “I feel like we’re so over the Scandoval of it all. I think he’s more suited for Traitors because of his longtime villain role on Vanderpump Rules. But, considering that Ariana Madix recently participated in a season, I believe we’ve moved past him.”
Burtt suggested that The Valley stars Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright might make better contestants due to their dramatic separation. “I think they would generate more headlines than Sandoval,” she added.
Dancing with the Stars has a history of controversial contestants, and with Sandoval’s history with Madix and Leviss, he would certainly be an intriguing addition to the show. However, it may be wise to let the Scandoval drama settle before making any decisions.
ABC has not yet announced the Season 33 cast. The lineup of celebrity competitors will be revealed closer to the fall premiere date. Rumored cast members include Parvati Shallow, Sutton Stracke, Gerry Turner, and others.
Sandoval has expressed his desire to compete on Dancing with the Stars. In a recent episode of the Vanderpump Rules: After Show, Sandoval revealed that appearing on DWTS has always been a dream of his, and he even took ballroom lessons in the past.
Following Sandoval’s relationship drama, Madix competed on Dancing with the Stars Season 32, where she partnered with Pasha Pashkov and finished in third place.
