The monthlong celebration of LGBTQ+ Pride culminated on Sunday with colorful parades and events held around the world, from the U.S. to Asia, North and South America, and Europe.
The festivities were a mix of joyous celebrations and calls for political action, with participants acknowledging the progress made by the LGBTQ+ community while also highlighting recent anti-LGBTQ+ legislation, such as bans on transgender health care, implemented by Republican-led states.
