BILLINGS — As expected, there was increased activity in much of Montana and Wyoming on Wednesday with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Lingering showers are expected this evening and overnight, but the most intense weather should subside after sunset. Isolated light rain showers may occur early Thursday morning in some areas.
Independence Day on Thursday is forecasted to be less active than Wednesday, with isolated showers and thunderstorms expected from late morning through late afternoon. It seems that the active weather will clear up before any late Thursday evening fireworks displays. Stay safe, everyone!
A strong ridge of high pressure over the West Coast will attempt to move eastward towards Montana and Wyoming on Friday and Saturday. However, it may be hindered by a couple of small disturbances bringing a few rain showers and thunderstorms. Sunday will have fewer clouds, with more sunshine and heat expected through at least the first half of next week.
