A fundraiser for Stormy Daniels has raised over $1 million to help her relocate to a safer home and cover legal fees as she navigates the aftermath of testifying against former President Donald Trump.
Daniels, also known as Stephanie Clifford, played a crucial role in Trump’s hush money trial, where he was eventually convicted on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records. Prosecutors claimed he paid Daniels, a pornographic actress, $130,000 prior to the 2016 presidential election to keep quiet about a past affair they had, and then misrepresented the payment as legal expenses.
Following the May verdict, Daniels has been confronted with “numerous death threats” in addition to escalating legal costs to defend against further legal actions initiated by the former president, according to Dwayne Crawford, Daniels’ friend and former manager who launched the GoFundMe campaign.
On the GoFundMe page entitled “I Stand with Stormy Daniels #WeAreAllStormy,” Crawford explained that he initiated the campaign to support Daniels in relocating, as her current residence has become unsafe following the disclosure of her address. This has resulted in her horses allegedly being shot twice by demonstrators and constant presence of paparazzi around the property. Crawford also disclosed that Daniels was faced with a dilemma between safeguarding her child’s well-being and risking contempt of court after being ordered to provide her minor’s personal information.
“Stormy requires assistance to move her family to a secure location where they can live peacefully on their own terms,” Crawford articulated on the GoFundMe page. “She needs help to continue covering the growing legal costs so that Trump doesn’t prevail simply because of his deep pockets.”
Daniels echoed these sentiments in an MSNBC interview this week, revealing that she has been subjected to threats of violence towards her daughter and other relatives since her testimony. She also mentioned that she cannot afford to settle the $500,000 in legal fees.

However, in an update on the GoFundMe page on Monday, a message from Daniels expressed her determination “not to yield or pay a penny for speaking the truth” which has been recognized.
“I have received an incredible gift as those legal fees are NOT coming out of my pocket! Strangers have come together generously to contribute and cover the expenses instead,” she shared.
Daniels expressed disbelief at the overwhelming support, now exceeding $1 million from 19,500 donors, coming from everyday individuals who gave what they could afford. She extended gratitude to her supporters and conveyed that once her legal fees are settled, the remaining funds will aid her in relocating to a secure environment.
“I can never thank you enough but…THANK YOU!” Daniels conveyed.
