Don’t let Trump seize power

My upbringing in a time of war instilled a sense of patriotism in me, a time when the United States did not tolerate the liars, cheaters, and scum that are now accepted (and previously elected). Even our comic book heroes embodied the values of truth, justice, and the American way, ideals that are now being replaced by lies, crime, and the MAGAT way.

Back in school, we started our days with the pledge of allegiance, proclaiming our loyalty to the flag and the Republic it represents, with liberty and justice for all. This noble sentiment was shattered this week by six “Subpreme Court” MAGATs. It seems we now have a national anthem that symbolizes betrayal and despair rather than unity and freedom.

It is crucial for us to resist the influence of MAGATs and comprehend the negative consequences they pose to us, our children, our nation, and our planet. We must prevent these T-rump MAGATS from seizing control of our country. The most impactful action you can take in your lifetime is between today and Nov. 5.

If the MAGATs emerge victorious in the upcoming election, we will be governed by a self-serving criminal and egocentric buffoon who has displayed his anti-American sentiments as a puppet of Putin and admirer of Kim Jong Un, turning us into subjects of a new USSR.

And if that isn’t alarming enough, last year, 2023, marked the warmest year on record, confirming the reality of global warming and its immediate impact on our planet. Environmental preservation has become a top priority for every nation, a truth that T-rump and his MAGATs refuse to acknowledge. They have struck a deal with polluters to reverse environmental regulations in exchange for hefty bribes.

Take action, thwart the MAGATs, and above all, exercise your right to vote.
