Jordan Larson recalls the small TV in the kitchen during her childhood, where she watched Olympic gymnastics one summer.
“I thought I’d be a gymnast,” Larson, now 37, mentioned of her early Olympic inspiration.
However, due to her height of 6-foot-2, Larson decided against pursuing gymnastics and shifted her focus to volleyball. Nevertheless, the Olympic seed was planted, leading to Larson’s fourth Olympic appearance in Paris as part of the U.S. volleyball team.

“Seeing athletes achieve greatness at the highest level was so inspiring,” Larson shared. “I saw myself there and the possibility of reaching such heights. It was the first memory that motivated me to work towards that goal.”
