Montanans are feeling the impact of the changing state, from rural areas to urban centers.
As a state representative from Bozeman, I hear from constituents daily about the housing crisis affecting them. Families struggle with property tax increases, while young Montanans can’t afford to buy homes. Soaring property values make homeownership unattainable for many working people.
We need representation that understands this important moment for our communities. Unfortunately, Republican U.S. Senate candidate Tim Sheehy is seen as part of the problem, not the solution.

While Montanans face high property tax increases, Sheehy successfully lowered the value of his vacation mansion in Big Sky, resulting in a significant tax reduction. Meanwhile, he restricts public access to land he owns, contradicting the inclusive nature of Montana.
Montana values, including looking out for neighbors and welcoming all, are being eroded by Sheehy’s actions. Instead of working to improve opportunities for Montanans, he focuses on personal gain.
Montana is not a profit project, but a home to hardworking families. Sheehy’s actions demonstrate a lack of understanding of what it means to be a Montanan.
