Following the chaos surrounding President Joe Biden’s campaign after the debate, former President Donald Trump made a comeback to the campaign trail on Tuesday. He basked in the Democratic infighting that has been on display for all to see.
Trump gathered his supporters at one of his golf courses in Miami as the deadline approaches for him to announce his running mate. Despite the pressure, he seems unhurried as much of the focus remains on President Biden’s capability to lead for another term. Some Democrats have even started urging President Biden to step down as their presumptive nominee following his lackluster debate performance last month.
On Tuesday night, Trump stated, “Our victory was so decisive that Joe’s own party now wants him to give up and hand over the presidency after just one 90-minute performance.” He criticized Democrats for their treatment of President Biden, dubbing him ‘Crooked Joe’ and asserting that he is a bad guy.
Trump also took aim at Vice President Kamala Harris, calling her “Laughing Kamala” and highlighting the “Biden-Harris administration” as he criticized their immigration policies.
Despite the Democrat’s turmoil this week, Trump confidently claimed, “It doesn’t matter who they nominate because we will beat any of them in a resounding landslide this November.”

Both President Biden and Trump are significantly older than most past American presidents, according to the Pew Research Center. Despite his age, Trump claims to be stronger than Biden and criticized his debate performance.
Trump also suggested that President Biden might remain in the race, emphasizing the difficulty of giving up under pressure. In Doral, Trump demonstrated his solid support in a former battleground state that has now leaned towards the GOP.
Senator Marco Rubio, a potential running mate for Trump, highlighted his Hispanic background as he spoke at the event but did not confirm any speculation about joining the ticket.
Thousands attended the rally, with supporters expressing their enthusiasm for Trump and his policies. The speculation around Trump’s VP selection continues to swirl, with no official announcement yet.
President Biden criticized Trump for not holding events since the debate, suggesting he has been inactive. The leadership crisis among Democrats has given Trump a strategic advantage in timing his VP announcement.
