The discussions about whether President Joe Biden should continue in the presidential race are not limited to Americans only.
Ian Bremmer, president of the Eurasia Group and GZERO Media, mentioned to Scripps News that several international leaders at the NATO summit in Washington have raised concerns about President Biden’s ability to serve a second term.
“In NATO, these are leaders who are fond of Biden,” Bremmer stated on “The Race” with Scripps News’ Chance Seales.
He further added, “There is not a single world leader that I have spoken with this week who believes that President Biden can complete another four years.”

Without specifying names, Bremmer pointed out that these leaders have observed President Biden showing significant slowing down and appearing less sharp during their interactions with him.
President Biden has openly addressed his age, admitting after his subpar performance in a debate in June that he doesn’t move or speak as smoothly as he did before.
Such concerns seemed to be focal points at the NATO Summit. Bremmer mentioned that during the brief ceremony where President Biden honored NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, there was a sense of nervousness in the audience.
“At the exact time when President Biden had to fasten the clasp, there was a collective sharp intake of breath in the room and everyone, both present and viewing remotely, was suddenly thinking to themselves, ‘Can he manage it?'” Bremmer recalled.

Ultimately, President Biden didn’t encounter any issues while presenting the medal to Stoltenberg, but Bremmer highlighted that these discussions are diverting attention from the crucial topics that should be addressed at the summit.
“Issues like providing more support for Ukraine and ensuring that member countries are increasing their defense spending should be the main focus,” he remarked.
Amid fears among Democrats about President Biden’s chances of reelection, Bremmer conveyed that the leaders at the summit are starting to believe that Trump may become the next president.
