Butte-born Joe McClafferty recently joined the administrative team at Shodair Children’s Hospital as chief development officer and foundation president.

McClafferty said he believes that investing in youth will create a better world.

McClafferty most recently was the president of the Logan Health Foundation in Kalispell, where he developed and managed all fundraising programs and built a statewide donor pipeline with individuals, companies, and foundations through research and stewardship.

Prior to that, McClafferty worked in his hometown at Montana Technological University’s for 17 years in the foundation and in athletics. He served as the vice chancellor of development and community relations and CEO of the foundation, where he led fundraising efforts and developed strategies.
