We’ve reached the 2024 Copa America final, where South American rivals Colombia and Argentina are set for a marquee match to determine the kings of CONMEBOL.

While this match could truly go either way, Argentina has been the dominant side in the entire tournament – and that’s with little-to-no help from Messi. He got off the scoring schnide in the semifinal, finding the net in the second half and officially opening his Copa America account for 2024.

Even with Colombia leading the field in regulation goals (12), displaying top-flight defense and boasting a truly incredible 28-game unbeaten streak, it’s tough to bet against the defending Copa America champions assuming Messi’s leg is healthy enough. 

Argentina has found the back of the net eight times in regulation during the tournament with Messi as a non-factor, and if his performance against Canada is any indication, Argentina could be well on its way to winning back-to-back trophies.
