BILLINGS — It has definitely felt like summer in Montana and Wyoming lately, with above-average temperatures and some areas of showers and thunderstorms. Most of the active weather today has been in northeastern Montana, but the strong thunderstorms are expected to move out of the region before midnight.
A strong ridge of high pressure will dominate our weather on Sunday, but a cloud area will move in throughout the day, leading to scattered showers and thunderstorms in southern Montana and northern Wyoming in the afternoon and evening. Highs will range from the 90s to 100s.
Monday will be cooler as a disturbance passes just north of our region, although we will still experience above-average temperatures. The rest of the week will follow a similar pattern, with high temperatures, quiet mornings, and scattered showers and thunderstorms mainly in the mountains.
