Triple Creek Ranch in Darby was recently named the number one Montana resort hotel in the 2024 “Travel + Leisure” World’s Best Awards.
It marks the 11th consecutive year the Darby ranch has been named as a World’s Best Award winner, earning Triple Creek a World’s Best Awards Hall of Fame honoree designation. A Hall of Fame designation means that the business or destination has been voted onto a specific World’s Best Awards list for the past 10 consecutive years.
The ranch also garnered first place in 2023 and second in 2022. Triple Creek Ranch received the highest honor in “Travel + Leisure” when it was named The World’s Best Hotel in 2014 and has ranked at the top consistently since.
“We are proud to be named Montana’s number one resort hotel yet again,” co-general managers Molly Smith and Kristen Snavely said in a joint statement. “We want to thank the readers of ‘Travel + Leisure’ for supporting us. Many of them are loyal guests of Triple Creek Ranch. We look forward to welcoming them back and encouraging more readers to experience the ranch and the beauty of Montana in the coming year.”

Every year Travel + Leisure asks readers to share their opinions on top travel destinations for their annual World’s Best Awards survey. Hotels are classified as either a resort hotel, city hotel, inn, or safari lodge based on their location and amenities, according to Travel + Leisure. Destinations are then rated on their rooms or facilities, location, service, food, and value. For each characteristic, respondents can choose from a rating of excellent, above average, average, below average, or poor. The final scores are the averages of readers’ responses.
