MONTANA – Temperatures were in the 90s today across Montana, except areas near or under thunderstorms.
There is a heat advisory this evening for south central and southeast Montana and northern Wyoming, including the Billings, Miles City and Sheridan.
A few showers and thunderstorms were dancing across southwest and northeast Montana.
Winds ranged from 10 to 20 mph with some gusts into the 30s mph in some areas.
The heat wave will ease only slightly early this week before high pressure re-builds across the western U.S.
Temperatures will be hot early week and become very hot late week and next weekend. Little beneficial rain is expected except this evening under the stronger isolated storms in northeast Montana.
Lows tonight in the 50s and 60s with highs tomorrow in the upper 80s and 90s. Highs will warm to the 90s and 100s later this week.
